This year the Benedictine Way was the ‘flagship walk’ of the Malvern Hills Walking Festival’s programme.  25 walkers covered 57 miles over 6 days. They included Little Malvern Priory’s vicar, the Reverend Stephen Sealy, and Alison Hunka, church warden and secretary of the Friends of Little Malvern Priory. The group visited Little Malvern Priory on Friday 3rd June on their walk from Birtsmorton Common to Great Malvern.

The route connected the Benedictine foundations of Mucknell Abbey, Pershore Abbey, Tewkesbury Abbey, Deerhurst Priory, Little Malvern Priory, Great Malvern Priory, Stanbrook Abbey and Worcester Cathedral.

The walkers appreciated the pilgrimage experience of meeting new people all with a common purpose of travelling between these historic places.
